Looks like there is a new sheriff in town who speaks French and enforces copyright law. If you live in France and download copyrighted content illegally, an independent council soon to be formed will send you a notice about said violation. Get three of them and you are done - No more internet access.

That's right. It would seem that the French government have become the protectors of profit margins for the industry. I'm not for all out piracy by and means, but this seems a little draconian.
