Disturbingly Eerie and Cool iPhone App

Thanks to @chrispirillo for exposing me to RjDj again. This iPhone app takes ambient sound and based on the theme that you select, turns into different types of music. Sound weird? I did too and and had no intention of picking it up until I saw the video link that Chris posted up on his blog.

Check out the video below and then links to the free and $2.99 version of the RjDj applications, the latter of which includes multiple themes (scenes in RjDj talk).

Avoid Automated Call Handling Hell With iPhone

Another reason to love the iPhone, and more specifically the apps that you get for it -- Direct Line (iTunes link). Designed to help you navigate those excruciating phone systems where you just can't seem to find the right buttons to mash that will get you to a human being. Select the company you are calling and the app provides the options that will set you free and avoid phone rage. I always appreciate things that help me cut down on rage-ahol.

Be Wise In the Ways of Web Marketing

Jeremiah Owyang has an updated version of his Web Marketing Guide now posted on his blog. It's one of the few blog posts that I revisited several times to point out content to coworkers, friends, and to refresh my own memory.

In general his blog makes for interesting reading and I follow him on Twitter to get a quick blerb on his latest writings in realtime.

BTW, my Twitter profile can be found here.

Evernote - Capture and Index Everything

This might be one of the sites/apps that becomes a key part of my everyday life. It's always dangerous to say that, but there are certainly instances of others that hold that place.

In there own words:
Evernote allows you to easily capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information accessible and searchable at anytime, from anywhere.

The video below highlights the general concept - take a picture of anything, scan documents, or tag website text and then have Evernote index it. From that point forward, and text contained in the original data is searchable. Take a picture of bills, labels of receipts, products, magazine articles and you never have to remember the details, simply search for it.
